Catch a fire review

Catch a fire
About this film I have to be honest, I had to watch it at my house because I miss the class and my only intention was just to watch some minutes to be able to write this, but I found it a very good film so I decided to see it entirely. I thought it was a very interesting movie it wasn’t a way you could get drowsy, there was always something happening during the movie and the story that was told was amazing an astonishing, it was about a black men that from the beginning didn’t believe in the strike of the AMC against the apartheid, it was just a normal guy who wanted to do his job and survive, but for the torture he had to go through despite he just was a person who do his job and knowing his wife was raped  he changed his mind and decided he had to fight and do something.
Another important thing (that I just realized at the end when I Understand that was based on true facts) is that Patrick Chamusso lived with the same struggle and daily oppression as any other Black south African citizen, but with the difference that at a time he decided to carry  a fight with arms against apartheid and in the moment that Mandela become President he understand that it was necessary to stop it and  forgive to truly be free and ends the violence and try to built a new country for everyone in it.
An interesting character from this film I think is Nic Vos, actually in his first meeting with Chamusso (after he was tortured) I even though he wasn’t going to be so cruelest cause he asked for a doctor for the prisoner,  but he was it but neither a pure bad man he had some inner contradictions and even believed that was he was doing was right, he had convictions he didn’t act just to punish a black man, he did it cause he thought that the things need to keep at the same for their survival.   He was even a bit mad, he took the prisoner on a Sunday to eat with his family in the same table, but with that in the film they built an interesting character to watch and not the typical archetype of a cruel antagonist.
About the government of Mozambique of Samora Machel for what I read, I think they understand that they could never be truly free and an autonomy country without the end of the apartheid and the colonist in their continent, so they took action trough the FRELIMO to provides help and training for the ones that want to fight against it.  As in the movie can be see it, Chamusso after he decided to took actions to put a stop to the oppression of his people he runs to Mozambique to get the necessary training to become part of the arm part of the AMC
